As a trained economist Bill started his career with some stints on the Johannesburg and London Stock Exchange with Societe Generale and BNP Paribas before turning to Consulting to Family Offices and Wholesale Investors. Between 2002 and 2003 Bill became a founding architect for a range of quant driven retail funds as well as participated in IPO’s and Invitation Only Wholesale Alternative Investment Funds. Bill then explored Venture Capital and started a Venture Capital Incubator called Greensignal Capital Partners, that focussed on Fintech and Broadcast Technology start-ups. In the past decade, Bill identified the need for Tech start-ups to increase their sales and financial management and took hands-on roles helping Fintech, Message Tech and Broadcast companies sign up multi-country contracts with Tier 1 Mobile Network Operators, Banks and FMCG companies. In 2018 Bill returned to his passion of financial markets and trading where he currently acts as CEO for Manuka Capital. This is an invitation-only alternative investment fund that uses machine learning to methodically identify, test and execute trading via algorithms to provide Family Offices and other wholesale investors diversification from traditional investment style and strategies.
