Reflecting on the past year, we’re proud to have either hosted and/or partnered in 22 events, fostering partnerships and collaborations within our local – and growing international community. New initiatives this past year included the FinTechNZ Hui Taumata, The FinTech for FinTech Mini hui, the new approach to online community submissions and the launch of Findr, plus our delegation to Hong Kong – all big projects. Looking ahead, our event calendar will expand with a diverse range of activities including delegations, networking and partner engagements and the preparation for the focus on the VC/Incubator summit.
Following our recent annual meeting I’d like to warmly welcome our new executive council which now proudly boasts a 50/50 gender split, plus our new representatives from KPMG and Deloitte. We have now refined our strategy for the coming year(s) and are confident this will be hugely valuable for the community. A special thank you to our past council members for their dedication and contributions to our success.
It has been a huge month for welcoming new members which includes Banzpay, IDVerse, Paloma Partners, Revolut, Scanpay, Tania Limited, Trustpilot, Custom D, DSG and New Zealand Fintech Fund.
On a personal note, I have been privileged to have met hundreds of passionate, intelligent and innovative leaders who embrace the ‘pay-it-forward’ goodwill which is so valuable to activate our empowered community. As we prepare to unwind and relax during the holidays, I would like to thank you for being an essential part of our community. Here’s to a season of celebration, reflection and anticipation for the year ahead.
I can’t wait to reconnect at our FinTechNZ Hui Taumata in February, see you there!
Ngā mihi
