About the Event:
The way Kiwis pay for things is changing, with digital cash, stablecoins, cryptoassets and decentralised finance offering more payment options for New Zealanders.
Digital Identity NZ and FinTechNZ are delighted to invite you to an exclusive online workshop hosted by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Te Pūtea Matua (RBNZ).
During a multi-year process, the RBNZ is currently evaluating the potential for issuing digital cash – an electronic version of physical cash. Our workshop aims to gather valuable insights on the high-level design options for a central bank digital currency including features, principles, uses and challenges. The Reserve Bank’s Robbie Taylor and Jean-Christopher Somers will be joined by their team for this interactive webinar.
To ensure a productive session, please prepare by reviewing these resources:
These resources will not be presented during the workshop but provide essential background.
We look forward to your participation in this consultation process and helping shape the future of digital payments in Aotearoa New Zealand.
