Join us for a conversation about Open Banking and Open Finance.
What is Open Banking?
Open Banking is a newly emerging service in Aotearoa New Zealand. The term is often used to describe a process where — with the permission of you as a customer — banks and other financial institutions may open up your data for other regulated providers to access, use and share. By giving permission to share certain kinds of your financial information to wider providers other than those you’re used to (such as your bank), new services and tools can be provided for you, or for your business, to help manage your finances.
We need your thoughts and ideas!
Because Open Banking is new to Aotearoa New Zealand, now is a good time to talk to people and businesses about what it could look like — and how comfortable we are with the idea of sharing our financial information with a wider set of providers in order to access new financial services and tools. Join us for a two-hour interactive conversation where you’ll see some typical examples of financial services that Open Banking could make possible. We’re interested in your thoughts and ideas about the measures that would need to be in place for you to be comfortable with these services.
