Leveraging Cross-Border FinTech Opportunities
In order to learn more about FinTech and the opportunities that it brings for international business growth, the British New Zealand Business Association is pleased to host this luncheon to discuss the theme ‘Leveraging Cross-Border FinTech Opportunities’. Join us to hear from three leaders in the FinTech space:
Binu Paul – Binu is an entrepreneur and founder of SavvyKiwi, a pioneering fintech application. Prior to starting up the business, he held a variety of roles in financial services, much of it as chief executive of an asset-consulting firm and heading up business strategy for a large NZ based Japanese asset management firm. Binu organizes Finnotec, NZ’s annual FinTech event, and is passionate about establishing a FinTech community. He is a founding member and part of the core working group of FinTechNZ.
Nicole Buisson – Nicole is Small Business Director at Xero. She has substantial experience in growth strategy, start-up acceleration, business development and product development working across the software, telecommunications, finance and private equity industries. She is passionate about small business and innovation and technology as growth drivers.
David Diepbrink -David has international experience as a senior executive across the financial services sector including insurance, wealth management and banking. He has recently been appointed the New Zealand Managing Director with Tradle Inc., a blockchain business which is just starting up in New Zealand.
Since 2007 the FinTech sector has been focused on and heavily invested in by many business owners across industries and countries regardless of size, given its necessity in our modern digitalized world. FinTech is opening up unlimited opportunities for businesses to grow and transform, as well as creating new connections across borders that companies were not able to establish before due to limitations of technology.
Join BNZBA members and other business guests to learn more about the industry, how it is developing globally and the opportunities it offers New Zealand businesses.
The BNZBA is also very pleased to be able to offer attendees at this lunch a 10% discount off early bird ticket prices (valued at $249) for Finnotec 2017.
New Zealand’s annual FinTech event, Finnotec 2017, will be held on 3 November 2017 at the Langham, Auckland. Following the success of a sell-out event in 2016, the event is back this year with a more global focus. Over 15 speakers from Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, US, Latin America and New Zealand will tackle a variety of topics ranging from developments in blockchain and AI technologies, patent strategies, scaling globally from NZ, state of regulation, competitive strategies for incumbents etc. There will be ample networking opportunities on the day over coffee breaks, lunch and drinks pre- and post-event. Finnotec 2017 is sponsored by Kowhiri, Anthony Harper, Harmoney, the UK Department for International Trade, ATEED , Spotcap and Kiwi Wealth.
