RegTech NZ explores – Legislation as Code
Understanding how Emerging Disruptive Technologies can influence change for RegTech, is largely becoming mainstream now with the multitude of solution development using AI, Blockchain and Machine learning.
One of the remaining bastions of legacy processes is digitisation of legislation in its basic form aka Legislation as Code.
In March 2021 Hamish Fraser, Tom Barraclough and Curtis Barnes published a legal research report on “legislation as code”. Researching the global “rules as code” movement. New Zealanders were leading a revitalized global discussion on how to implement law in computer systems, as computer code.
